Tucson has a long history of looking up. Since the 1970s, our community has been at the forefront of protecting dark skies, helping preserve the night for astronomy, wildlife, and those of us who simply love to watch it arrive. Dark Sky Ascent is a little nod to that legacy. As the last light of sunset slipped away, darkness seemed to ascend through the brilliant blue while a tiny crescent moon rose above the glowing clouds.

This original miniature painting was created with gouache paint on 140 lb. Legion hot pressed Stonehenge Black watercolor paper and measures 3×2”. It comes in a signed mat and frame that bring the overall size of the piece to 4.75x3.75”. It ships free. It will be framed in a gold tone frame as pictured; black frame available upon request (simply reply to the email confirmation of your purchase to make the request).
