Sometimes the desert simply refuses to stay inside the lines.

Desert Overflow was inspired by a morning hike in Tucson Mountain Park, where chollas, saguaros, prickly pear, and ocotillos crowded the landscape, glowing in the light beneath a moody monsoon sky. I especially loved letting those ocotillo branches escape right out of the painting.

This original miniature painting was created with gouache paint on 140 lb. Legion hot pressed Stonehenge Black watercolor paper and measures 3×2". It comes in a signed mat and frame that bring the overall size of the piece to 4.75x3.75”. It ships free.
