Sometimes I have my dog Lola to thank for the best inspiration.

One lovely evening, we were finishing an evening stroll when this extraordinary monsoon sky began to glow overhead. I watched in awe as the clouds gradually took shape and the colors intensified. We never got a drop of rain at our house, but the mammatus clouds caught the setting sun and seemed to turn molten above the neighborhood.

Naturally, I had to paint them.

This original miniature painting was created with gouache paint on 140 lb. Legion hot pressed Stonehenge Black watercolor paper and measures 3×2”. It comes in a signed mat and frame that bring the overall size of the piece to 4.75x3.75”. It ships free.
