My friend was in Carmel for a plein air painting competition (“en plein air” is a French expression meaning “in the open air,” and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view). Although I hadn’t painted on-site without preparation in many, many years, I joined her for some painting at the always-gorgeous Monastery Beach. We had a wonderful time catching up and I enjoyed creating without expectations – something I don’t allow myself to do nearly often enough. And, I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the results.

Card measures 4×5.5" and is blank on the inside, ready for your own personal message. It has the above information about the painting printed on the back. The card has been professionally printed on high-quality 80 lb. art paper with a subtle texture similar to cold-pressed watercolor paper.
