Living in Monterey, it’s easy to have a love/not so much love relationship with sea lions. They’re pretty stinky. They can be destructive. They make a slightly annoying alarm clock at 4 a.m. But, spend a few moments watching them, and I dare you not to smile. They are some of the most entertaining animals around, in my opinion. This guy was enjoying the sunshine and the shallow waters along the shore of San Carlos Beach and trying to stay out of the ever-present drama that seems to follow his kind.
