My friend Ursula introduced me to the grasslands of the San Rafael Valley in southeast Arizona, and I was completely enchanted by the landscape. The clouds were captivating, but it was the grasses that surprised me most. Miles of soft, undulating yellow-green texture rolled across the valley beneath that enormous sky.

I loved the gentleness of it all, even with so much happening overhead.

This original miniature painting was created with gouache paint on 140 lb. Legion hot pressed Stonehenge Black watercolor paper and measures 3×2”. It comes in a signed mat and frame that bring the overall size of the piece to 4.75x3.75”. It ships free.
