I recently took a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park, one of my favorite places in the world. This trip, I was especially struck by the way the trees often seemed to be competing with the hoodoos for the “most creative” award. The park is a harsh environment much of the year, and I’m sure that many twists and turns are necessary to survive.
